About Oliver
I am a very enthusiastic teacher who loves to help my students succeed. I believe everyone had skills and talents that they can develop in ways that make education fun and interesting. I believe that whatever you are interested in can be used as a way into many areas of education, even in those subjects that you do not normally like or find hard. I encourage you to work hard but to enjoy the journey, and will help you to believe in yourself and celebrate every success that you make.
I am a husband and the the father of a little boy, I make music and love rhyming poems, and I run marathons in my spare time. I enjoy the great outdoors, reading and playing basketball, and thinking of ways to help be "Green" and help my students think of ways that they can help to save the planet.

I develop tuition sessions based around your child's individual needs and interests. I have a wide variety of tools to help teach all subjects plus specific Special Educational Needs skills including Makaton, PECS and emotional regulation.
I am happy to work to suit your time frame. but typical sessions last around 45 minutes (or up to 2 hours depending on age and ability) . I can deliver on line sessions or if necessary am happy to travel in the London area to deliver face to face sessions, in which I will provide a variety of 'hands on' educational resources.
I have worked successfully with students with high functioning Autism, ODD and ADHD, helping them successfully channel their interests into tailor made projects that allow them to access and engage with many elements of the curriculum on their own terms.
I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher who has worked in Mainstream and Special Needs Education Sectors for more than a decade. I have a great track record of engaging and motivating children and young people with a special passion for reading, acting, poetry and rapping and art work. I am a specialist in helping non verbal children communicate. I am a qualified Basketball Coach and Long Distance Runner and am working towards a qualification in Leadership in Running Fitness.
I can tailor make my lessons for students of all abilities aged from 4 to 16 (and those above 16 depending on need)
