About Jake
I myself am a language student. I have a double major in International Studies and Japanese. I went to university for exchange in Japan for 1 year. I have taught in South Korea for 1.5 years and I just moved back from Japan after spending 2.5 years there. In total, I spent 5 years learning languages overseas. Over the years, I have helped many friends learn English so I'm used to 1 on 1 teaching. Language learning is hard, but can be really fun if you try your best and just relax.

The lessons directly depend on your level. You will need to show me what textbooks you are learning and then I can help from there. I have taught students from 6 years old to students in university. If it is just pronunciation, it takes a long time but we have to figure out what sounds and words you have trouble saying and work towards pronouncing them correctly. If you are Korean or Japanese, I know many of the issues you might have when saying English sounds so it should be easy to work out what you might need to work on. If it is just conversation practice, I can help and even explain to you the meaning in Japanese. I also speak Korean but not as well. Lessons can be online but I prefer in person, in the city (Melbourne CBD) or at another location is fine. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
