About Nadezda
Hi everyone!
My name is Nadezda, and I am a Woman FIDE Master, certified chess coach & arbiter, chess enthusiast and chess lover! I am from Serbia, and I currently live in Prague/Czech Republic, with my husband, daughter and two cats.
I have more than seven years of experience as a chess educator. I have been working with children in kindergartens, primary schools and online. I specialised in working with children and beginners, up to 1600 FIDE.
I am particularly proud to emphasise that a significant portion of my coaching experience includes working with female students, with the primary goal of empowering them and helping them feel more confident and assertive.
Chess is my passion, and I have dedicated my whole life to chess. I try to transfer that passion to my students, as it can improve their lives and give them confidence in problem-solving, time management, creating and completing goals, critical thinking, and more!
I come from a successful chess family. I learned to play chess at the age of 4, and from then until today, my love for chess radiates with the same intensity. I won 7 National Youth Championships and dozens of regional individual and team competitions. I obtained the title of Woman FIDE Master at 12, and I won the Serbian Girls Junior Championship when I was only 14. I shared 6th place at the 1997 European Youth Chess Championship and finished 10th at the 2000 World Youth Chess Championship. Since I shifted my focus to studies, chess has remained an integral part of my life and has changed how I think, act and present myself. Despite deciding not to pursue a professional career as a chess player, I continued to work and thrive within the chess world as an arbiter, coach and administrator. My unbreakable bond with chess was crowned by marrying a professional chess player.

I prepare a custom plan with fun, engaging lessons and a personalised approach.
For the first class, I suggest playing one game and analysing it to understand the student's level and thinking process. Afterwards, I prepare the lessons and make a custom coaching plan.
I use ChessBase and Lichess as coaching tools and Google Classroom for homework and assignments.
My curriculum, which I build throughout the years of coaching, is unique and covers all stages of the game: opening, middlegame and endgame. A huge collection of puzzles for improving tactics, calculation and attacking is also part of my program.
