Daniel Vecchio Alves has an interdisciplinary background in the Humanities. He has a master's degree in Literary Studies and a degree in History from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). He was a doctoral researcher at CNPq from the Graduate Program in History (Cultural) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with additional training from the PPG in Portuguese Literature at the University of São Paulo (USP). She also has a degree in education, with specialization in Higher Education Teaching from Senac-SP and an ongoing Master's degree in Education and Digital Technologies from the University of Lisbon. Recently published the book Bestas and legendary kingdoms in the imaginary of overseas navigations (New Academic Editions, 2016), and has published articles in several national and international scientific journals. His research interests permeate the relations between History and Fiction, the History of the Imaginary (especially the Portuguese Imaginary), the 15th and 16th Century Iberian Overseas Travel Literature (including its historiography), the History of Literature (with emphasis on Romance). Portuguese) and the History of Education.
