About Ethan
Hi! I’m a Year 13 student who loves Maths and Science and enjoys helping others improve their confidence and grades. I’m also an aspiring medicine applicant, so I understand high academic standards and what it takes to consistently perform well in exams. I achieved 11 Grade 9s at GCSE (top ~130 in the UK) and I’m currently working towards A-level target grades A*A*A* (Biology, Chemistry, Maths). I also achieved UKMT Senior Maths Challenge Gold and have experience mentoring GCSE Maths resit students at my sixth form. I’m friendly, patient and calm, and I always break difficult topics down step-by-step so they feel manageable. I genuinely enjoy teaching and seeing students improve — whether that’s building confidence from the basics or pushing for top grades.

Tailored online tutoring for motivated GCSE Maths & Science students in Y10-Y11 aiming to achieve top grades. For many students, the barrier to top grades isn’t a lack of ability, but gaps in understanding and exam technique. I’ll teach the content clearly and help you turn that knowledge into marks with exam-style practice. How lessons work: - We identify your weaker topics to work on - I explain the content clearly with a friendly, patient teaching style (breaking down difficult concepts step-by-step) - We practise exam-style questions and go through the mark scheme together - I teach you how to hit the exact points examiners want. I can also set optional homework between lessons for faster progress. Whether you want to move up from a Grade 4–6 or push for 8/9, lessons are tailored to your level and target grade. I’ve mentored GCSE Maths resit students at my sixth form, so I’m confident teaching from pass level up to 8/9. Lessons can be 30–60 minutes depending on your needs, and we focus on the topics you want to improve most.
