About Amy
I am currently studying Natural Sciences at University College London (UCL). To emphasise the breadth of this degree and my specialisms I will write out the full name (be warned, it's long): Inorganic Chemistry and Materials Science and the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Science. I discovered my enthusiasm for the sciences during my GCSE years and would love to instil that in my students. I found that once the tricky concepts clicked I found the subjects less scary and dare I say... fun?!

I like to research into the most up-to-date, scientifically-proven study methods to help my students (and myself...) to optimise their learning! This is tried and tested through my success at being a current Natural Sciences student at University College London and having tutored the most difficult student there is... my little sister. I am very familiar with the latest exam GCSE specifications and resources offered for the most tailored support. My lesson structure is as follows: - Active recall questions on a range of topics to begin - Introduction to a topic listed on their exam specification in as much depth as desired - An Example Exam Question work-through for each topic ...With the continued encouragement of asking questions throughout! I can help with the making of revision resources such as flashcards and mind maps and advice on how to best structure time/topics leading up to exam periods. I look forward to helping students reach their utmost, chemically feasible potential!
