About Amanda
I have 6 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics. During my teaching journey, I have helped students improve mathematical reasoning through engaging lessons, supportive mentoring, and personalized instruction that encourages curiosity and independent thinking. I strive to create a positive learning environment where every learner feels motivated to reach their full potential.
One student initially struggled with understanding permutations and combinations because identifying which counting principle to apply in different scenarios often caused confusion. Through hands-on activities, visual diagrams, and carefully structured practice exercises, the student gradually developed confidence and achieved outstanding improvement in mathematics assessments.
I believe mathematics develops creativity, logical reasoning, perseverance, precision, and lifelong curiosity that prepare students for success in higher education and future careers. My teaching philosophy focuses on helping students build mathematical confidence through conceptual understanding, structured practice, and real-world application. Students receive instruction in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, introductory calculus, mathematical reasoning, quantitative analysis, mathematical modeling, and data interpretation. Lessons integrate conceptual discussions, guided demonstrations, collaborative investigations, visual learning techniques, structured practice, reflective questioning, and independent exploration. Students are encouraged to communicate mathematical reasoning clearly, compare different approaches, and develop confidence through logical problem-solving.
Practical applications from environmental science, finance, architecture, healthcare, artificial intelligence, engineering, and business management help students understand how mathematics supports informed decision-making in everyday life and professional careers. Regular assessments, personalized assignments, cumulative revision sessions, and detailed progress reports reinforce conceptual understanding while preparing students confidently for examinations.
Students preparing for board examinations, SAT, ACT, university entrance examinations, scholarship tests, or competitive mathematics programs receive customized revision schedules, mock examinations, examination strategies, and comprehensive academic feedback that supports consistent improvement.
