About Sawyer
As a Math tutor with over 7 years of experience and a BSc Mathematical Sciences degree, I help university students turn confusion into understanding. I focus on building strong fundamentals so advanced topics feel natural instead of difficult. Each lesson is structured but flexible to your learning pace.
Calculus becomes meaningful when connected to real situations. I teach derivatives through motion and optimization problems, integrals through accumulation and area, and differential equations through scientific and engineering models. Interactive simulations and problem-solving strategies make sessions engaging.

My approach to teaching Maths is supportive and clear. I focus on building understanding first. Each lesson connects mathematical ideas with real technological applications. I use simple examples and visual explanations.
We learn how algebra connects to programming logic. Students practice algorithmic thinking by writing steps like a program. I introduce discrete mathematics topics such as logic, sets, relations, and proofs used in computing. I also explain how computers follow instructions and process data.
