About Nathan
I am a dedicated STEM student with a strong academic background in mathematics, including coursework through Calculus III. I have developed a deep understanding of math concepts as well as the ability to explain them clearly and patiently to others. My goal is not only to help students improve their skills, but also to build confidence and a positive attitude toward learning.
I approach tutoring with professionalism, preparation, and reliability. Each session is structured around the student’s needs, and I make sure explanations are clear, organized, and adapted to different learning styles. I believe students learn best in a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and mistakes are treated as part of the learning process.

My goal as a tutor is to help students feel confident and capable in math by making challenging concepts clear and approachable. I focus on understanding rather than memorization, breaking problems into simple steps and explaining ideas in multiple ways until they make sense. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
A typical lesson begins by identifying areas the student wants to strengthen or review, followed by guided examples and structured practice. During the summer, sessions focus on reinforcing foundational skills, filling learning gaps, and previewing upcoming math topics so students feel prepared for the next school year. Each lesson ends with a short recap so students leave knowing what they learned and how to apply it independently.
What sets me apart is my patient teaching style and strong background in advanced mathematics through AP Calculus. I understand where students commonly get stuck and specialize in turning confusion into clear understanding while building long-term problem-solving confidence.
I work with students ranging from elementary math through AP Calculus AB, including those who want summer skill refreshers, extra practice, or enrichment before moving into the next level of math. Lessons are fully personalized to match each student’s pace and goals.
