About Shawn
Currently a Substitute teacher who has subbed for grades from Preschool to 8th grade. Comfortable with tutoring in Algebra 1 and below as those are mainly the grade levels I have covered when I substitute for a teacher at a school. I am also a fan of a lot of anime, so I share similar interests with a lot of the students watch today.

I'd listen to the students struggles or areas need to work on the most and create easy, medium, and maybe hard problems to assess their understanding of the concepts then try lots of problems that would challenge them for improvement. Students must tackle problems that they feel uncomfortable with to improve their understanding. As a substitute teacher, I've strived to follow the teacher's lesson plan and try to phrase the answer in different ways to help them understand the math problems. I also asked the students if they have questions as they might be on the right track and then get stuck halfway in.
