About Caitlin
I volunteered as a GCSE maths and English tutor at the start of year thirteen for a private tutoring company. When tutoring maths, my group sizes varied from 3-10, and I tutored 2 people for English. I got one student in maths from a grade 1 to grade 4 in 6 weeks, and my English students were grades 5-6. Currently, I am studying maths at university. I plan to go on to artificial intelligence after I complete a PhD.

I go through a topic, the background of it and why it is important, I then go through a question and then let the student have a go at a similar one. I also give independent practice questions ranging in difficulty, and these are set based on the student's abilities. I change my lessons based on the student's needs. I will do an assessment on the first free lesson, and this gives me an idea of the student's level and requirements.

I knew Caitlin from high school and I always knew her as the smart, intelligent person in the class. She was always trying her best to expand her knowledge even further than what was required. My younger brother was struggling with his GCSE maths and as Caitlin was really intelligent I brought up the idea of her tutoring him. She did this without a second thought and because of that he has expanded his understanding much further than what he would have without the extra help and push which she gave.
