About Lucas
I am someone who hasn't always been good at Mathematics. Other people in my class at school were miles ahead of me. I wanted to pursue A Level Further Mathematics to prove I could be just as good as my classmates. However, my teachers advised me not to do so as they thought it would be too difficult for me.
So instead I choose to take A-Level Music. It was great I loved it. I got so much encouragement from taking Music that I decided to pursue it at University. But I soon realised that this wasn't right for me and that I wanted to take Mathematics. So I decided to drop out of uni and study A-Level Further Maths independently and reapply to University for the following year.
Studying Further Maths on my own was probably one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life, but in the end with a lot of hard work, I achieved an A* and got to return to University. I had proven my teachers wrong and that I was capable after all.
The point in this story is that if I can achieve success in Mathematics then YOU CAN TOO! With the right help and support you are capable of anything.
