About Johnnie
I want to teach because I genuinely love helping others discover the joy of playing piano. Music has shaped so much of my life, and passing on that knowledge—whether it’s through technique, improvisation, or theory—is incredibly fulfilling. Seeing students grow, gain confidence, and express themselves through music is what inspires me most.

I'm a passionate pianist with over 8 years of experience in both Jazz and Classical styles. I hold ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and Grade 5 Theory qualifications, and I currently study Jazz at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. My teaching is supported by a strong foundation in advanced music theory, including harmony and counterpoint, as well as deep knowledge in classical and jazz composition. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, I tailor lessons to your goals—making learning both rewarding and enjoyable.
