About Tobias
I am passionate about Mathematics and studied Accounting and Finance at University of Bristol. I have worked with children previously in both professional and voluntary settings.
I worked as a tennis coach when I was younger, and love football as well! I also volunteered at a charity that helps children on the autistic spectrum with things that they can find harder to understand.
After missing the start of year 10 with a serious illness, I had to teach myself the maths that I missed in this time. I know how hard it can be to play "catch up", but I'm confident in my ability to help others do so!
I also guided my younger brother through his GCSE and A level mathematics when he was struggling. His way of thinking was very different to mine and once I understood this it was a lot easier to help him understand.

Hi! My name is Toby. I have a passion for Mathematics. I attended Reading School and achieved A* in GCSE Maths, A in Additional Maths and A in A level Maths. I subsequently studied Accounting and Finance at University of Bristol.
My teaching style is based on what the student requires; this will vary amongst different age groups and skill levels. Some students might require a more visual learning experience whereas some might require more case study (example based) learning. Whatever the case may be, I believe I am qualified and am extremely dedicated to find a studying technique to ensure the student will enjoy learning.
I am always happy to explain theory in different ways until I find one that connects and makes sense to the individual I'm working with. I strongly believe that it is important to make learning an enjoyable experience and always support academic curiosity as this encourages retention.
