About Eleeza
I am a high school graduate and I have been learning Spanish for the past four years. I passed a proficiency test after my first year and I skipped sophomore Spanish and went directly into the Junior level. I have had consistent A/A+ marks in all of my Spanish classes. My proficiency granted me admission into the Spanish Honor Society. I am at the DELE B2 level of fluency and I regularly work to improve my speaking/comprehension skills as I believe there is never a concrete end point for language learning.
I am a polyglot, and have great interest in learning languages. I am proficient in English, Russian, Spanish, and I am actively learning Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Because I am always growing and interested in languages, I have learned many new approaches and skills in language learning. I know the best and most useful techniques in learning lifelong skills such as speaking a second or third language through experience and many years of studying.
I believe I can extend my passion of language learning to other students and perhaps inspire them to try other languages or become motivated to reach fluency in Spanish.

As I am a college student and have experience with the typical high school second language curriculums and teaching styles, I am well versed with student needs.
I believe the best method to language learning is immersion. To fully comprehend and activate your mind into a, persay "Spanish Mode", constant activity and interaction in the target language is best.
For students familiar with the basics of the language, we will start where the student is lacking. We will work on strengthening weaknesses and expanding vocabulary. The student is always free to voice their opinions on my tutoring style and ideal methods and I will conform to their needs.
We will practice reading and listening comprehension gradually. The conjugation of verbs and the use of tenses will be emphasized in written and verbal expression. Unique vocabulary and expanded knowledge of Spanish mannerisms are constantly encouraged and are integral parts of language proficiency and comprehension. We will utilize meaningful digital resources such as Duolingo, SpanishDict, Wordreference, etc, to aid in learning as according to the student's needs and to encourage regular practice outside of tutoring sessions.
I believe memorization is redundant and often unengaging leading to unpleasant experiences with the language. My goal is to provide engaging and interactive lessons that immerse and develop a student's mind. But I will not hyperfocus on enjoyment and will always strictly cycle back to lesson and skills at hand.
I will take upon a unique teaching style that conforms with the student's needs. Watching and reading media in Spanish is always encouraged and once the student is comfortable enough, most if not all conversations will be held in Spanish.
