About Thisuri
I completed the Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of London in 2018. After completing the bachelor's degree I worked as an Intern in the Finance department at a global manufacturing company - Stretchline (Pvt) Ltd located in my mother country,Sri Lanka. Then I worked as a Junior Executive at MAS Legato (Pvt) Ltd in Sri Lanka which was established to provide financial outsourcing solutions to the MAS group (a global manufacturer) and external clients.
In 2019, I started to teach Business Studies and Commerce to my two small cousins for the Ordinary Level examination in Sri Lanka as they couldn't properly understand the lessons from their previous tutor. We covered the syllabus, and did lot of sample questions and our hard work paid off at the end as all of them got Distinctions for Business Studies and Accounting in the Ordinary level examination which was conducted in 2019 in Sri Lanka.
I am a good listener and I am known to be a kind,generous person with immense patience. I always want to teach the lesson in a more interesting and a practical way than it is in a textbook. Then it is easier for the students to learn and study the relevant lessons. I believe that by doing more and more questions,students are able to familiarise the particular concept more and he or she will be able to score good marks in the exam.
At present I am a postgraduate student at The University of Adelaide.

On our first day,I will try to get an idea about the current knowledge of the student and I am going to start tutoring from the beginning. After completing each lesson,I will encourage the student to do questions and problems related to that lesson and all the answers will be checked by myself and a feedback will be given accordingly. Our priority is to finish all the chapters at an average pace and save some time at the end to focus on doing more revision.
