I'm a hard-working student who has an enjoyment for maths as I love the problem-solving aspects of it. I also enjoy teaching because it allows me to help others using my skills. I'm also very calm and patient which lends itself nicely to teaching students of all abilities.

My approach to teaching encourages you to go through questions step by step rather than just showing you what to do to help you work it out and remember the method. Previous clients have enjoyed this style from maths mentoring I have done in the past. Typically lessons would last an hour and would be suitable for ages 14-16 but this is flexible.

I have been lucky enough to have Jack as my personal tutor since I first year 11. He helps me understand the reason for the answer and not just the answer itself. I used to find maths confusing and difficult and hated it but now I understand it and even enjoy it. I was predicted a 6 at the start of Year 11 and I got a 9. Thank you Jack!!
Jack’s method of breaking down problems so that someone who doesn’t even do maths could understand them is very impressive. The questions become way easier to understand and therefore tackle, making maths actually enjoyable. I recommend Jack to anyone who simply wishes to learn to enjoy maths and achieve a better grade.
