About Sarah
Hello! My name is Sarah, I am 19 years old and I have been playing the violin since I was 6 years old. I come from São Paulo, Brazil, but since 2018 I study in Paris at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. I came to Paris thanks to a scholarship that I won during a competition in Brazil, and since then I have been in love with Paris and French culture. In Brazil, I started to learn the violin with a Romanian teacher at the municipal music school of São Paulo, then I moved to the Academy of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra and my teacher was the Italian Emmanuele Baldini who is in fact the solo violin of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra (OSESP). In France, I studied with the Russian Liana Gourdjia and Igor Volochine, both at the Ecole Normale de Paris.

I started teaching the violin in Brazil, especially for children and what I think is important in this profession is to show the beauty of music and to make people appreciate and discover for themselves if they want make it a serious thing, like a profession or a way of life. If the answer is yes, I can be very demanding because I know what it takes to be a good musician. I have won many competitions and I know how hard it takes to reach this level. On the other hand, I am also a jazz violinist and I enjoy enjoying all kinds of good music, so if music for you is a hobby, I can also be very flexible and understanding.
