About Michael
I am two years into my Japanese language journey. While I'm not a native speaker, I attend language exchange groups two to three times a month, have somewhat close Japanese friends who don't know English, and enjoy reading light novels and manga. I'm currently about a year away from becoming an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) and three years away from getting my masters in teaching English as a foreign language.

If you're at an N4 level or below, chances are that you haven't encountered native Japanese study materials yet. The typical textbooks offered in English often neglect to explain these things before the student has spent six months or more memorizing lists of phrases.
Let me share with you the actual fundamentals so that you can accelerate your language acquisition. I can teach you the following, and maybe just a little more:
-How to love the writing system (or, how Kanji help you cheat)
-How to break down the "conjugation" system of Japanese. (did you know there's actually only two and a half forms of any verb or adjective?)
-How to tailor your vocabulary studies to what you actually need and want, instead of memorizing thousands of words and wishing you could understand what your reading or hearing.
-How to meet Japanese people both locally and online, and how this can help you learn the language
-How to find and use native materials to get started in the area that you were interested in in the first place
