As a tutor, my approach is centered on fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts while building students’ confidence. I believe that learning is most effective when paired with plenty of repetition as well as critical thinking through guided problem solving rather than giving students the answers.
Every student is different, and I think it is the instructor that tailors their teaching style to the needs of each individual student that finds the most communicative success in teaching.
I encourage students to walk me through their thought process as they tackle each problem. This not only helps me identify gaps in understanding but also helps strengthen the student's ability to problem solve.
Under my instruction I can promise a much deeper understanding of the material at hand, reflected by better test scores.
