I will begin every lesson asking if there's anything specific the student wishes to work on but will always have a lesson planen regardless. I'll go through example questions with the student and then allow them to try to tackle the questions independently. I have a good way of explaining things as I link every aspect of maths together so it comes more naturally and feels less disjointed than other teachers can make it feel.
