About Emma
Hello, I am from the start of September at Sciences Po Lyon in 1st year, I arrived 343rd out of 10,000 in the IEP competition. Previously I was in hypokhâgne prep where I majored in philosophy and history, in Montpellier at the Lycée Joffre. I had my Bac ES European mention (20 in English, 20 in reinforced English (history course in English), and mention Très Bien (17 written in French, 19 spoken, 17 in eco, 18 in Spanish, 18 in history ...). I want to go to Berkeley or Upenn (IVY LEAGUE universities with Yale, Harvard and many others) in 3rd year at Sciences po. Otherwise, I love helping students ! I think I am very educational and attentive, I also very often helped my classmates during their schooling, it is truly a source of joy for me. I have at heart to do well so do not doubt not my motivation to do the best possible lessons for your children! My method is to establish a first contact with the student, to understand his shortcomings and his skills. I think the best training is oral. Indeed it seems to me quite boring to give a print lesson. It is more relevant to bring the pupil to discover the bases by questioning him and by using his supports. Ps: Contrary to what my CV might suggest, I had a year in high school where my results were very low.
I had lost all motivation and I did not even wanted to go to class anymore. I have had a very difficult year. Repetition was even considered. Everything changed when I regained my self-confidence thanks to magnificent experiences in sport and because I gave myself the power to do what I loved, and not to stay in a scientific path that I did not like. . I think iy's never too late to succeed and catch up, as long as you learn to love what you do, or change it! Also, I would never pass a negative judgment on a person for not doing well from the point of view of his teachers or from the point of view of the world in general. I think that everyone can find their own way, and I would be honored to be not only a help with homework but also I hope, a support to find which way your child is interested in.

J’ai connu Emma car c’était la fille d’un ami et j’avais besoin d’aide avec mon fils qui rechignait à travailler à l’école.
Emma s’est montrée très compréhensive et j’ai vu dessuite des résultats apparaitre.
Etienne est devenu beaucoup plus attentif et il m’a épaté dans certains domaines ( comme en langue où Emma l’a fait beaucoup progresser ! ).
Je suis très heureux qu’Etienne est pu avoir Emma comme prof, aujourd’hui il n’en a plus besoin car il a vraiment pris son envol mais je serais éternellement reconnaissant à Emma pour ça.
