About Saransh
Hello, my name is Saransh, and I am currently a student at Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet, studying A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Economics.
I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics, scoring 231/240 and I am predicted A* in both Maths and Further Maths. I have a strong passion for mathematics and problem-solving. Studying at one of the country’s leading grammar schools has allowed me to develop excellent academic skills and a strong work ethic.
Alongside my studies, I have gained experience helping students with GCSE and 11+ preparation and have also been involved in teaching mathematics within school. Having completed these exams relatively recently myself, I understand the challenges students face and the skills needed to succeed.
I am enthusiastic about education and enjoy supporting others in achieving their academic goals. Whether students are aiming to improve their confidence, strengthen their understanding, or achieve top grades, I bring enthusiasm and dedication to ensure my students are satisfied.

My approach to tutoring is focused on building confidence and developing a strong understanding of the subject rather than simply memorising methods. I adapt each lesson to the individual student, identifying areas they find challenging and using concepts to simplify the topics.
I believe understanding is especially important in mathematics because exam questions can often be unfamiliar or presented in different ways. Students who only memorise methods may struggle when questions are worded differently, whereas a strong understanding allows them to apply their knowledge to new and unexpected problems.
I encourage students to ask questions, providing guidance where needed. Lessons typically include reviewing topics the student finds difficult, learning any new helpful material, and practising exam-style questions to develop both understanding and exam technique.
Lessons usually last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for exam preparation or intensive revision.
My lessons are suitable for secondary school students specialising in Key Stage 3 maths, and GCSE Maths students of all abilities, whether they need support with difficult topics, want to improve their grades, or are aiming for top marks.
