I try the task in a playful way, so that they learn playing independently of the subject. Because memorization is not the best thing to learn, the important thing is that they understand what they learn. Well, I think the most important thing is understanding, without leaving aside the support made by professionals, such as textbooks as prior support, which can be reinforced with teaching materials, videos, etc.
