About Harold
I am a student who has excelled academically in related subjects. At GCSE I achieved a 9 in English Literature, a 9 in English Language, an 8 in History and a 7 in Religious Studies (all essay-based subjects). Last year I achieved an A* in an Extended Project Qualification, and I am well on course to achieve a fantastic array of A-levels, all in essay-based subjects. I attended a high-achieving, but non-selective, school, and they instilled within me the belief that anyone can attain high grades, no matter the background, with a good education. I live in the South-East of England and come next year I will be studying at the University of St Andrews.

I do not believe that people are pre-disposed to writing (or anything in life, for that matter). You aren't born good or bad at English Literature, or at writing essays. Everyone has the potential to do well, and equally, everyone needs a different type of help. I will tailor the lessons to what you, as a student needs. I will focus on making sure you know the key components of writing a good essay in whichever subject you need the help in, having judged where you personally are at, and what exam board and subject you are in. I will be flexible in what you want me to do: if you have a specific idea for what you need of me, I will gladly do that. If you don't have a specific remit, that is fine too; so long as I have a reasonable amount of information on the exam board and subject, I will be able to help.
