About Jess
I am an IB student with straight 9’s in the new english GCSes. I have been tutoring students in maths for the past two years, and they have all been awarded several grades higher than predicted.
I am happy to tutor GCSE maths, triple science and english literature and language.

At the moment there is a real pressure for students to learn content, and teachers may leave students behind in the rush to complete the course. As a tutor I aim to consolidate and expand on basic techniques that can be over looked in group lessons. For example, a maths tutorial will focus on explaining reasoning behind techniques such as graph translation and completing the square to show students to apply the same basic techniques to different problems to find solutions. This gives them the tools needed to tackle wordy or complicated questions. Most importantly I only go at the students pace, focusing on revision and targeting weaker skills
