About Tanish
I’m an A level student studying Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics. I wish to gain some further experience tutoring maths and physics and enjoy tutoring. I have previous experience teaching primary school children preparing them for their SATs and also have an ongoing tutoring of multiple year 11 students preparing them for GCSEs. My tutoring style involves guiding students to the answers of questions they have as this allows them to use a side of the brain they have to use in exams. I cater questions and sessions to adjust specific students and their personal targets and allow for feedback to enhance their experience as every student understands their own learning style. Furthermore, I am flexible with different exam boards and can also increase or decrease frequency of sessions depending on when their exams are. I am an A level student studying Maths, Further Maths and Physics aiming to pursue a mix of Economics and Maths at University of Cambridge. My teaching style is catered towards each of my students individually but generally involves tackling higher level problems for a student's respective course and challenging their current ability to make them better mathematicians. I tutor GCSE Maths students and have experience preparing students for year 6 SATs. I enjoy tutoring deeply and find a huge deal of satisfaction while teaching a topic from first principles as this allows a student to truly appreciate the application and beauty of maths. I cater my sessions towards each of my students and provide useful feedback to help a student improve.

My approach for tutoring is to teach a student a topic from first principles and build a strong base understanding. I have seen the value of being truly familiar with difficult mathematical concepts first hand through my students and their progression. I believe an approach where the student is guided to find an answer or new way to solve a problem is often far more beneficial than an approach where a student is told what to do without any substance or reasoning. My classes are typically 2 hours long and are especially suited towards GCSE maths students and year 12 Maths students who are aiming for high grades.
