About Patrick
When teaching math, I have a more "learn by doing" teaching style. I firmly believe that one of the best ways to learn is to be taught a concept directly with examples, and then to try learning that concept yourself. A typical lesson plan for me would be just that - covering selected topics with a brief overview and practice problems, all while I am there to support the student and ask clarifying questions. I believe that empathy and patience are two of the most important values a tutor can have, so I always make an effort to represent that in my work.
My lessons are for anyone who needs help with math, ranging from elementary to high school level topics, including ACT/SAT prep. I am also able to assist with more advanced college-level mathematics like Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra.

Patrick is an excellent teacher. We went to high school together and he was able to clearly break down my physics problem to help me understand what was going on, while still leaving room for me to think for myself and figure it out. Patrick is the best math tutor. Not only is he very knowledgeable but he makes the subject very engaging and simple. He helped me improve my math score for the SAT from a 680 to 800, a perfect score. I would recommend Patrick to anyone who is looking for a kind, helpful, and effective tutor!
