About Maria
I have been working with people of different ages and backgrounds at different levels of knowledge for many years now, and have grown up amongst many different people and cultures. I love motivating others and helping them find their fullest potential when it comes to learning! As well, I intend to make classes comfortable and try to give students time to talk and express themselves, so they can build up their confidence and communication skills. My goal is to make lessons both practical while still personalizing them to each student making them more pleasant than the average tutoring session.

Lessons should have 4 main steps. First is “reviewing” and asking the student what they new things they have learned and what concepts are not clear to them. This solidifies the students knowledge of what has been discussed and what will be discussed. Second is “introduction” where the student is given a brief overview of what will be taught. Next is “activities”, in this step we find the student’s most suitable learning method which helps them retain information long term. Finally comes “summary”, where there is a review of what has been learned and how to strengthen it even more following the session.
