About François-Xavier
Currently I am finishing a master's degree in international finance at LSM (Louvain School of Management) after a bachelor's degree in economics and management at UCLouvain. It was while giving explanations to my little sister throughout high school that I realized how much the tools I had acquired during my high school years could be applied to others.
My experience consists in having thwarted the mathematical cogs to emerge from them logical, practical and visual methods for all and allowing a gratifying understanding which will boost your self-confidence. Anyone can understand math. If I did, you can do it.

If you are reading this it is because like many other young people you are struggling with maths. There are many reasons for this, but certainly not your intelligence. Whether it is a lack of pedagogy, repeated absences, or an illness that has caused your marks to drop, you are here on Superprof to correct the drawback. Let's go!
In general, we are not all born equal when it comes to mathematics. It's a reality. In almost 4 years of tutoring, I followed students of all ages and all personalities, dyscalculic, dyslexic, hyper-active, and lazy geniuses waking up the day before their exams ... And all of them have their own difficulties! Knowing how to teach by adapting to the person in front of you is essential.
In secondary school, I much preferred to talk with my friends and imagine our next blunder behind the teacher's back. If I succeeded it is because like you I had my ups and downs, but I never let myself be defeated.
How do I teach?
- First of all, we are going to be familiar with each other, no filters and no judgments between us. If we meet together to learn in a way that suits you. If you don't dare tell me about your difficulties, what's the point of having a private lesson? One of my goals is to help you find the method that will allow you to understand now but also later, without me.
- I teach as a coach but also as a friend. I am patient, relaxed and I will confront you with your shortcomings. I have a sister who is probably your age so I got you.
- I am flexible, nothing should be set in stone, if a 3 minute video on Pythagoras, derivatives or the weighting of chemical equations can help you understand more quickly, we watch it, no worries. Quality teaching is as much in substance as in form.
- I demystify and restructure your course with you. More than half of the failures that I accompany are due to messy, incomplete lessons and rough note-taking. Good news, I can help you fill in what is missing.
