About Yara
Hello! My name is Yara, and I’m a passionate and supportive English tutor based in Montreal. I’m currently completing my Master’s degree in English Literature, and I also hold a Certificate in Adult Education. I’ve worked with students from all over the world for over four years, helping them build their confidence in speaking, writing, and understanding English. I’m multilingual—I speak English, Arabic, and French—and I truly understand the challenges that come with learning a new language. That’s why I create lessons that are personalized, judgment-free, and focused on what you need most. Whether you’re preparing for a test, improving your academic writing, or just want to speak more fluently in everyday life, I’m here to support you every step of the way. My goal is always to make learning feel accessible, empowering, and even fun!

As a graduate student in English Literature with a Certificate in Adult Education, I bring both academic expertise and a learner-focused approach to my tutoring. My lessons are welcoming, supportive, and tailored to your goals—whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for a test, or looking to improve your speaking and writing skills.
A typical lesson includes a short warm-up activity, a main focus (conversation, grammar, vocabulary, or writing), and personalized feedback. I often integrate creative prompts, real-world scenarios, and storytelling techniques to make lessons meaningful and engaging. I also adjust my pace and methods depending on your level and learning style.
What sets me apart is my ability to make students feel comfortable, especially those who are shy or anxious about speaking. I understand the challenges of learning a new language and work hard to build confidence step by step.
My lessons are ideal for adult learners, university students, and professionals seeking to improve their English fluency, grammar, pronunciation, or writing. I can also help with academic writing, test preparation (IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo), and general conversation skills.
