About Connor
I’m currently in my first year of an integrated Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering at Durham University. I tutor maths alongside my studies because I enjoy helping students reach a point where the subject starts to make sense rather than feeling overwhelming. Having recently completed GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand the exam pressures students face and the common areas where they tend to lose confidence. Tutoring gives me the chance to work one-to-one, break topics down clearly, and support students in building both understanding and confidence over time.

My lessons are structured around the individual student rather than a fixed syllabus. I start by identifying exactly where understanding breaks down, then build from the fundamentals upward so topics actually make sense rather than being memorised. Sessions are calm, focused, and practical, with plenty of worked examples and exam-style questions so students feel confident applying what they’ve learned. Having recently been through GCSEs and A-levels myself, I understand how the exams are marked and what students typically struggle with, which allows me to tailor each lesson to maximise progress and build long-term confidence in maths.
