About Luca
Tom is our lead Math and Science tutor, having achieved strong results in both subjects during VCE. Since graduating, he has built extensive tutoring experience, working with students across a range of levels and abilities.
He is passionate about helping students improve their understanding and confidence, using clear explanations and a supportive approach to make challenging concepts easier to grasp.

Tom is our lead math and sciences tutor, and focuses on building a session that suits you!
Tom’s sessions are tailored to each student, and focus on the content they are learning in the now! Lessons are engaging, interactive, and designed to build real understanding—not just memorization.
Students are encouraged to ask questions and actively participate in a supportive environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. With clear explanations and a flexible approach, sessions help build confidence, improve results, and develop strong independent thinking in math and science.
Our hourly lesson structure is as follows!
1. Quick Check-In (5 mins)
Review recent school content, identify any problem areas, and set clear goals for the session.
2. Concept Breakdown (15–20 mins)
Explain key ideas in a simple, structured way, using examples to build strong foundational understanding.
3. Guided Practice (20 mins)
Work through questions together step-by-step, encouraging the student to think aloud and ask questions.
4. Independent Application (10 mins)
Student attempts similar questions independently to reinforce learning, with support as needed.
5. Final questions and weekly goals (5 minutes)
We make sure the student understood the session's learnings and knows what to do moving forward, before setting goals for the week ahead!
