About Emily
I have always loved mathematics for its logical nature and the satisfaction of arriving at a single, definitive answer. With an A in A-Level Mathematics and a year of Further Mathematics under my belt, I have a deep understanding of the subject and the skills to make it accessible to students of all levels. During my time in college, I gained valuable experience helping children improve their maths skills, which honed my ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs. Currently studying medicine at Newcastle University, I bring the same dedication and precision to tutoring as I do to my studies- and I still like to practise my maths skills on the side! My goal is to inspire confidence in my students, help them master challenging concepts, and achieve their academic goals with professionalism and care.

I focus on making maths accessible and enjoyable for students by breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. My teaching emphasises understanding the core principles, building problem-solving skills, and practising through a variety of examples. I adapt my lessons to each student’s learning pace and style, ensuring they feel confident and supported. Regular practice, review sessions, and exam preparation are integral parts of my approach. Lessons are typically 1 hour long, but I can adjust the duration to meet the student’s needs, whether they require a quick review or an in-depth session on challenging topics. I achieved an A in A-Level Mathematics, completed a year of Further Mathematics A-Level, and have hands-on experience helping children improve their maths skills during college. This combination of academic excellence and practical experience enables me to guide students effectively at all levels up to A-Levels. I offer tutoring for students up to A-Levels, including those preparing for GCSEs or needing support with advanced topics. My lessons are ideal for anyone looking to build a strong foundation, improve their grades, or prepare for exams.
