About Mara
I’m a guitar teacher with 6+ years of experience coaching students for band auditions, ensemble playing, and live performance. I hold an Associate of Arts in Guitar Fundamentals and have a deep passion for helping musicians grow both technically and creatively. My teaching style is encouraging and focused, designed to build confidence and skill in every student. I emphasize the importance of stage presence—because playing live is about more than just hitting the right notes. Rhythmic tightness is another key focus, helping students lock in with their bandmates and create a solid groove. I also encourage creative collaboration, guiding players to listen actively and contribute meaningfully within a group. Whether preparing for auditions or performing on stage, I help students develop the musical excellence needed to shine in any setting. Lessons are tailored to each player’s goals and strengths, balancing technique with expression. I believe that every musician has a unique voice, and my job is to help bring it out. Seeing students grow into confident, dynamic performers is what drives me.
