About Chris
I come from a punk and DIY background—playing in basements, figuring things out by ear, loving the raw energy of just making noise with friends. But over time, I dug deep into the legends: Prince, James Brown, Quincy Jones, BB King, Larry Graham, Little Richard. I studied what made their grooves hit and their songs timeless—not in a textbook way, but by feeling it, learning it, and applying it. I bridge that raw, authentic love of music with the fundamentals that get you playing fast and confidently. I teach from experience, not ego—so you can find your sound.

Because I’ve been where you are—I know how it feels to want to play without feeling overwhelmed or pressured to be the best in the room. I focus on making music approachable, fun, and personal. I won’t overteach or overcomplicate—just real, relaxed lessons that help you start jamming and supporting the song.
