About Colette
I am an English tutor with over 3 years of experience helping young learners begin their reading journey with confidence. I hold a Bachelor of Science in English Language and Professional Writing, which strengthened my passion for storytelling and early literacy. I truly enjoy introducing children to the wonderful world of books. Stories help young minds grow curious and imaginative.
I work mainly with emergent readers and early elementary students. My lessons focus on improving reading comprehension and developing phonological awareness. We explore colorful picture books and exciting characters together. Interactive storytelling keeps students engaged and eager to learn.
I also include creative play and fun reading activities in every lesson. These activities help children connect sounds, words, and meaning naturally. Learning becomes joyful and confidence grows step by step. I love seeing students become excited about reading. Together we explore stories, ideas, and new vocabulary. Let’s unlock the magic of reading and imagination in English.

My English teaching approach focuses on helping students communicate confidently in real-life situations. I believe learning English should be practical, enjoyable, and connected to everyday conversations. Lessons include topics like dating and relationships, expressing feelings, and understanding social cues. These subjects help students build meaningful conversations.
Students practice how to start friendly conversations and respond naturally. We also explore how to navigate romantic conversations in a respectful and comfortable way. I use playful activities, role-plays, and conversation games during lessons. These methods make learning fun and memorable.
I create a relaxed and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable speaking. I enjoy helping people who are adjusting to a new country and want to connect with others in English. I also support learners who study English simply for enjoyment and curiosity. Every lesson encourages confidence and creativity. Students learn to express their thoughts clearly and understand others better. Over time, conversations become smooth and natural. English becomes a joyful tool for building personal connections.
