About Brandon Kai
I'm currently a senior transfer at UC Berkeley studying EECS. I was a high school tutor for 2 years where I have built a safe and inclusive community that involves passionate and learning students. As a Filipino transfer, building community and creating a safe space are aspects that are important to me. It helps build connection and promotes a healthy learning experience when tutoring.

I have experience tutoring and teaching high school students, so lessons will revolve around advanced high school math. As a tutor, it's important to make learning a comfortable experience. A typical lesson plan will begin with reviewing the material. Applying the material to example problems will be the bulk of the lesson. While going through problems, it's important to walk the student at a pace that they are comfortable with. Establishing a safe and comfortable environment through simple yet complex conversations is what sets me apart as a tutor.
