About Khaleeq
I am a statistical programmer with a masters degree in pure mathematics. During my masters, I spent my weekends tutoring GCSE and A level mathematics. As a result, I have a good understanding about some of the difficulties faced by different learners and have devised methods to overcome such difficulties.
Maths does not need to be difficult, it just needs to be taught in a way that makes sense.

I prefer to design my own lessons and try to search for novel methods of understanding a topic. I am a firm believer that when learning maths, one must try to understand the concepts rather than memorising methods for exams. That is not to say that I offer no exam practice, but I believe that a greater focus on theory allows for a deeper understanding of maths, thus providing students with creativity and versatility when approaching a maths problem.
I like to structure my lessons in the following way:
1. Clearly defining the topics of study.
2. Spending a good amount of time going through the theory. In most cases, providing multiple examples to achieve greater understanding.
3. Solving some example questions with the students.
4. If time permits, providing some practice questions to be done independantly.
