Hi, I’m Grace! I’m a certified middle and high school math teacher with over six years of tutoring experience. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners and believe deeply that all students can succeed with the right support. My sessions are patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s unique learning style. Whether you're catching up or aiming to get ahead, I’m here to make math feel more manageable, and even enjoyable. As a state-certified classroom teacher with over 6 years of tutoring experience, I believe that all students can learn—just not in the same way or at the same pace. My approach is rooted in getting to know each student's learning style, confidence level, and academic goals so I can tailor instruction to meet their individual needs.
A typical session begins with a quick check-in to review goals, followed by guided practice with clear, step-by-step explanations. I focus on building both skills and confidence through real-time feedback, targeted practice, and strategies students can take back to the classroom. I aim to make math less intimidating and more manageable, one concept at a time.
My tutoring is designed for middle and high school students who need support to pass their current math class, strengthen foundational skills, or prepare for the next grade level. During the summer, I also offer sessions to catch up or get ahead, so students feel ready for the school year ahead.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain math in a way that makes sense, my patience, and my commitment to helping each student feel capable and supported. Whether your student is struggling with Algebra, needs to brush up on pre-requisites, or wants to boost their confidence, I’ll meet them where they are and help them grow from there.
