About Skylar
Watching a student finally grasp a difficult coding concept is the best part of my day. I have spent 6 years working as a BI analyst at a SaaS unicorn after graduating from UC Berkeley with a BS in Statistics.
My 107 students often comment on how my background makes technical topics accessible. I prioritize clean code practices and logical structure in every conversation.

You will build functional applications from day 1. We focus on HTML, CSS, and data structures to ensure your fundamentals stay strong. The work is direct and avoids unnecessary filler. Complexity should not be a barrier to entry.
I assign a hands-on mini project after every class to test your knowledge. Practice is where the real learning happens. My teaching style remains grounded in actual software engineering constraints. You might find that debugging actually becomes the most enjoyable part of the process.
