About Jessica
I have a wide and lengthy resume of teaching and tutoring practice. I have my Bachelor's in math and a Master's in teaching from the University of Washington. I have taught high school level math for 2+ years, and I have tutored students for 6+ years. Over the years, I have consistently honed my knowledge on which methods of teaching will engage students, allow them to feel comfortable asking questions, and gain long term understanding.
In my free time, I am an avid tennis player, bookworm, and foodie.

We'll start out the lesson with evaluating your current level of understanding of the topic at focus. We will go through some problems together, pausing if any questions arise and checking for understanding at each significant step. Once you feel more confident in the topic, you will take the lead on new problems with assistance if needed.
My experience teaching in a classroom filled with a wide range of ages and levels of understanding have given me practice tailoring a topic to each student's prior math knowledge, comfortability with math, and different learning styles.
