About Poppy
Hey my name is Poppy, and I am passionate about learning, exploring, and helping others grow. In my free time, I enjoy scuba diving, traveling, and reading. Scuba diving has taught me patience, confidence, and the importance of understanding new environments. Traveling has allowed me to experience different cultures and perspectives, while reading has helped me develop knowledge and a lifelong love of learning.
I want to become a teacher because I enjoy sharing knowledge and inspiring others to reach their potential. Teaching is an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives by helping them gain new skills, confidence, and understanding. I believe that education can open doors and create opportunities, and I would like to play a role in supporting students on their learning journey. My curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, and passion for helping others make teaching a career that truly inspires me.

I am an experienced educator with over 10 years in the teaching profession, specializing in supporting students with ADHD, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I hold certifications in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and TEFL/TESOL, which have strengthened my ability to support students academically, socially, and emotionally in diverse learning environments.
My TEFL and TESOL qualifications have also provided me with extensive experience in English language instruction and exam preparation, particularly for IELTS and TOEFL, helping students develop confidence and achieve their target scores through personalized learning strategies and focused language support.
My background includes international teaching experience across a variety of classroom settings, including working at one of Dubai’s premium British schools within the inclusion department. In this role, I support students with special educational needs by implementing individualized strategies and creating a structured, inclusive, and engaging learning environment tailored to each learner’s needs.
I am passionate about fostering student growth by adapting lessons to suit different learning styles, cultural backgrounds, and academic abilities, ensuring every learner feels supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential. Through evidence-based interventions and personalized teaching approaches, I help students build confidence, independence, and lasting academic success.
