About Laurel
I have over 10 years of experience as an educator and specialized instructor. With an undergraduate degree in Middle School Education, and a graduate degree in Special Education, I have had the pleasure of working with students ages 12-adulthood in classroom, small group, and 1:1 settings. Throughout the last couple of years, I have done a deep dive into the realm of executive functioning through my role as a Learning Specialist. I'm excited to share my knowledge and expertise with you.
I have over 10 years of experience working with individuals with a wide variety of learning differences from ages 12-adulthood. While I have experience working in large classroom and small group settings, I enjoy working 1:1 with learners most. While studying severe special needs in graduate school was a great foundational experience, I have learned the most about the field of special education and executive functioning by working collaboratively with my peers and students.
Whether you're a parent of a middle school learner who would like them to gain independence, a college student who would like to get organized, or someone who would like to work on self advocacy skills, I am here to be your coach and accountability partner. I have worked with hundreds of learners, with the belief that one size does not fit all when it comes to learning. With me as your coach, you will tackle your challenges, celebrate your strengths, and gain invaluable life skills.
