I am a passionate and dedicated educator with several years of experience working with upper elementary and middle school students. I am a dedicated educator who focuses on helping students build confidence, independence, and strong academic skills. A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previously learned skills, followed by direct instruction on a targeted concept. Students then work through guided practice with support before moving into independent practice to build confidence and mastery. I regularly check for understanding and adjust instruction based on student needs. Lessons end with a brief review and goal-setting for the next session.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students and help them recognize their potential. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking academic risks. I am especially skilled at working with students who struggle with reading, writing, organization, or focus, and I help them develop strategies they can use independently. My background in education allows me to tailor instruction to individual learning styles and academic goals.
