About Jessica
Admitting that grammar rules can feel dry at first is part of the process. I use my BA in Latin American Music Studies to bring cultural context into every single session we hold.
We spend time on accent and intonation until your ears can distinguish the subtle shifts in sound. Listening practice follows a rhythm that feels less like a chore and more like a conversation. You learn to articulate thoughts clearly while building the confidence to speak without hesitation.
My background at UCLA provides the framework for these structured yet flexible meetings. Finding the right pace for your specific goals is the primary focus of our time together.

Relocation and immigration clients often find me in the middle of a guitar set, strings still vibrating from a Peruvian waltz. I appreciate the way you want to bridge gaps between your current life and your future in a Spanish speaking country. My approach relies on the 17 years I have spent navigating these cultural currents.
You might struggle with the difference between Castilian and Latin American variants, but we will sort that out through consistent practice. Reading comprehension and everyday phrases come naturally when you listen to the cadence of the language. Vocabulary building happens best when it is tied to the stories we share.
I am happy to help you prep for the DELE or just get comfortable with conversational fluency. May your journey into this beautiful language be as rewarding as a good meal with friends.
