About Hayes
Teaching Spanish has always been an extension of who I am — someone who finds joy in helping others communicate, understand, and feel understood. My fascination with languages started during my university years when I realized how language reflects the heart of a culture. Over seven years of teaching, I’ve turned that fascination into a craft, helping students of all ages master Spanish while discovering the richness of its people and traditions. My approach is rooted in empathy, patience, and encouragement. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals, creating a space where mistakes become tools for growth and progress feels rewarding. I strive to make learning lively, filled with laughter and authentic conversation, because a relaxed mind learns best. Beyond teaching, I stay immersed in Spanish media, literature, and travel experiences to keep my lessons culturally vibrant and relevant. Each student’s success — whether it’s delivering a fluent presentation, holding a real conversation abroad, or simply feeling proud of their progress — renews my passion for teaching. To me, Spanish isn’t just a language; it’s a celebration of connection, and guiding others through it is a joy that never fades.

My Spanish lessons transform learning into an experience of connection — where language meets culture, and curiosity turns into confidence. Each class blends conversation, grammar, and cultural exploration in a way that feels natural and motivating. I focus on building fluency through stories, dialogue, and authentic interaction rather than memorization alone. Lessons are structured but flexible, allowing space for students’ interests, goals, and pace.
Beginners start by mastering essential grammar and everyday phrases through listening and speaking practice. Intermediate learners work on fluency, expressive writing, and cultural discussions, while advanced students refine accuracy, expand vocabulary, and explore literature, idioms, and advanced tenses. I also offer targeted sessions for DELE exams, travel preparation, or professional communication.
The final aim of my Spanish lessons is always empowerment. I want students to walk away not only speaking Spanish but thinking in it — feeling at home with its rhythm, warmth, and expressiveness. Many of my learners discover that studying Spanish reshapes how they see the world, unlocking new friendships, opportunities, and perspectives. I often remind them that every word carries emotion, history, and music — and when they speak Spanish with authenticity, they’re connecting across cultures in a way that transcends grammar and vocabulary. Watching students transform from hesitant beginners into passionate communicators is a deeply fulfilling journey I’m honored to share.
