About Melissa
I have worked some positions utilizing Spanish only, most recently translating for Spanish speaking clients at a law firm from where I familiarized with medical terms. Outside of professionally speaking Spanish, I also grew up with proud Hispanic parents who would not allow me to speak English at home and instead focused on enriching me with our culture and roots. I have carried through life their saying, " Speak two languages and you are worth two people..."

Everyone is different, some may do well with pronunciation but not necessarily comprehension. I like to customize teaching while making it fun by also teaching culture through storytelling history. I find having key points in common or being able to relate or admire what you are learning will facilitate retaining information.
