About Camila
I am Cuban currently living in Cuba, what means that I've learning and speaking Spanish my whole life he he.
Something to know about me is that I hold a University Degree in Engineering and during my time through college, I worked as a Spanish teacher in several High School what encourages me to teach students of diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels, this has allowed me to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role as a tutor. I am deeply passionate about sharing my love for the Spanish language and Cuban culture with others.
I have had the privilege of working with students from all walks of life, including adults, teenagers, and children, both in traditional classroom settings and through online platforms. My experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges that learners may face and the strategies needed to overcome them effectively.
In addition to my practical experience, I am committed to continuous professional development and staying updated on the latest trends and methodologies in language teaching.

As a Native Spanish teacher, my approach to tutoring is centered around creating an engaging and immersive learning experience for my students. I believe in employing a communicative and interactive teaching method that encourages active participation and fosters language acquisition through real-life situations and contexts.
In my lessons, I integrate a variety of techniques to cater to different learning styles and preferences. These techniques include multimedia resources, role-playing exercises, storytelling, games, and interactive activities such as debates and discussions. By incorporating a diverse range of tools and approaches, I aim to keep the lessons dynamic and stimulating, while also addressing the individual needs and goals of each student.
A typical lesson plan with me begins with a brief review of previous material to reinforce learning and build upon existing knowledge. This is followed by introducing new vocabulary and grammatical concepts through interactive exercises and contextualized examples. Throughout the lesson, there is a strong emphasis on practical application, with opportunities for students to engage in speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. But mostly SPEAKING!
As a tutor I am dedicated to the success of my students. I take the time to understand each student's learning style, goals, and areas of difficulty, and tailor my teaching accordingly.
