About Cecilia
I learned both Spanish and French growing up, living 9 years in Mexico City and 9 in Geneva, and because of this I think I can teach students how to speak a language with fluidity as well as giving them the necessary knowledge to master a language.
I am currently doing my post-grad studies in London in child psychology and first came to the UK for my undergrad. Writing academically in English was definitely hard for me at first, but I managed to improve quickly by dedicating time to this and I think this challenge helped me better understand how to teach effectively.

Rather than teaching students textbook vocabulary, I focus on giving students a solid base in a language and good knowledge of its structure so they can develop a strong conversational level.
I personalise my classes to the language level of my student/ their age and what the intended use of the language is. For example, whether you're preparing for a class test or simply want to communicate better when you travel, my classes will cater to this. I can also adapt the length of classes to whatever suits the student best.
I have a wide range of experience, working in translation for 2 years as well as a language tutor for high school students and as a pre-school teacher.

Perfect! Cecilia is very patient but seems to create lessons that are just the correct amount of challenge. I couldn't recommend her enough!

Cecilia’s a great tutor who always knows how to keep a class interesting. She’s always well prepared and organised with her lessons and has an engaging teaching style! My Spanish has progressed much faster since she started teaching me compared to before.
